I'm 32 years old, I'm a geologist. Working in the civil engineering, environmental hazards and groundwater sector. I'm married, kid's on its way, keep fingers crossed. Football fan, FC Bayern München. Well, somehow. Hey, but you came here for checking out some Commodore 64 stuff, didn't you! So go ahead and download some demos and enjoy the nostalgic feeling. Remember: There used to be a time where you just bought a computer and all the programs used to run on them at the same speed and quality. There was no extra hardware available, like a Geforce/Radeon graphics board or a Soundblaster 7.1, every program had to respect the limitations of the system. And despite these limitations the programmers back then achieved noticable good results by tweaking the hardware and optimizing the code to the maximum. Games didn't attract attention only by cool 3D graphics or symphonic sound, playability was what counted in the end. This is what's so fascinating about the C64 and 8 bit computers in general, and in the end this is probably the reason why you are lurking in this far-out corner of the web. Thank you for your visit! Oh, I forgot: Please leave a message in the guestbook, you know, ghostsurfing sucks! ;-) |
